The current A.S.D. BUNGYXTEAM was founded in 1993 under the name A.S.D. SPORT EMOZIONE and was mainly dedicated to river sports, airsoft, mountain biking, and sport climbing. In 1994, Ivan Pontarollo had the idea of using the recently built Valgadena Bridge (1990) to introduce bungee jumping in Italy. So, in June 1994, the highest site in Italy for bungee jumping opened. A.S.D. SPORT EMOZIONE changed its name to A.S.D. EXTREME SPORT CENTER in 1996, then in 1998 became A.S.D. IVANXTEAM. A few years later, it was renamed to its current name: A.S.D. BUNGYXTEAM.

Since 1998, the core staff has remained practically unchanged, and for over 20 years we have been offering our members a unique experience in complete safety. Although we are an association, we have always strived — and continue to do so — to comply with current safety regulations. All equipment used is certified, regularly inspected, and replaced when necessary. Throughout the year, the staff is constantly informed, trained, and prepared. We are registered under code 001 in the S.I.S.E. (Italian Bungee Jumping System), created after the fatal accident that occurred in 2002 at the Terni Bridge.

Over the years, the association has collaborated with several television production companies such as Endemol, Magnolia, CNN, and RAI for the development of the following projects:
Scommettiamo Che, La fattoria, C’era un cinese in coma di Carlo Verdone, Il treno dei desideri, Camera caffè, Don matteo, Un medico in famiglia, Planet Animal diretto da Jeff Corwin e Scelgo Te.

The association provided its expertise and professionalism to open the Bungee Center Abruzzo in March 2014, operating on the Salle Bridge in the province of Pescara ( www.bungeejumpingabruzzo.it )
